Collins & Aikman Ranked Eighth Largest North American Automotive Interior Supplier for 1999

    TROY, Mich., April 12 Collins & Aikman Corporation
is the eighth largest supplier in North America of automotive
interior components and systems according to data published in the March 27,
2000 issue of Automotive News.
    The automotive industry trade magazine named the top 150 companies
supplying the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in North America based on
complete product line sales.  Of those listed, Collins & Aikman ranked eighth
in sales revenue among suppliers of interior products.
