Ex-GM Exec to Direct WorldStar Sales and Marketing

SAN DIEGO--April 12, 2000--Composite Automobile Research Ltd. (OTCBB:CARH), World Transport Authority Inc. (WTA), has appointed Joseph W. Parker as senior vice president.
In this position he will plan, coordinate, and direct the company's global sales and marketing operations from WTA's new corporate offices in Washington, D.C.
"The WorldStar(R) vehicle is ideally suited for the world's emerging economies," Parker opined. "It has precisely the content, technology, safety, versatility, and price desired by the mainstream market segment in the developing world. The manufacturing process, which requires an inexpensive, local CKD (completely knocked down) assembly, is years ahead of its time. It is amazing that a complete WorldStar(R) CKD facility actually costs less than a conventional automotive dealership. And since the vehicle sells at half the price of the nearest competition, WorldStar(R) is clearly positioned to capture a significant market share in countries where it is introduced."
Parker has already initiated a fully funded factory in Angola. His office has also started substantive work on additional WorldStar(R) projects in key automotive markets in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. In addition, he will oversee the expansion of sales from new and existing facilities in South America and the Philippines.
Parker is a graduate of West Point. As an Army officer, he was one of a highly select and trained group of regional specialists called Foreign Area Officers (FAO). In his capacity as a FAO, he was a noted authority on Africa, serving embassy duty and as a senior analyst in Washington, advising high level officials and agencies of the executive branch on African and international affairs. After leaving the service, he spent five years directing fleet, government, and donor sales for GM Africa/Middle East Operations at their offices in Washington, D.C. While in that position, he significantly raised GM's business profile in the regions, and closed the largest fleet sale in GM Africa's 80-year history; a $37M deal that reintroduced Chevy Trucks into the Southern Africa market.
Composite Automobile Research Ltd. and World Transport Authority Inc. serve the emerging world's transportation needs through in-country manufacturing facilities utilizing local semi-skilled labor to produce the WorldStar(R) line of utility vehicles.
