Fuel Cell Council Appoints Deputy Director

    WASHINGTON, April 10 The U.S. Fuel Cell Council has
appointed Gregory Dolan as Deputy Executive Director.  Mr. Dolan will be
responsible for directing membership activities and media relations, as well
as assisting Executive Director Robert Rose in the day-to-day operation of the
Council.  The U.S. Fuel Cell Council is the trade association for the fuel
cell industry, representing fuel cell manufacturers, suppliers and customers.
    Mr. Dolan comes to the Council from the American Methanol Institute (AMI),
where he served as Vice President for Public Affairs.  During the past four
years with AMI, Mr. Dolan managed all media relations activities, and assisted
in the direction of legislative affairs for the methanol industry's trade
association.
    Prior to his service with AMI, Mr. Dolan spent ten years as a public
information officer for several New York State agencies, including the
Department of Environmental Conservation, the NYS Energy Research and
Development Authority, and the Department of Transportation.
    "The U.S. Fuel Cell Council has grown from 14 member companies, to 45
members in less than two years," said Mr. Rose.  "Greg's experience and
talents will help the Council grow even further.  With the tremendous
explosion of growth this industry has seen over the past few years, we expect
the Council to become an important force in moving fuel cells to the
marketplace."
    Fuel cells are highly efficient and clean, generating electricity from a
chemical reaction rather than combustion.  Fuel cells are being readied for
commercial introduction to supply electricity to everything from cellular
phones and laptop computers, to cars, homes and office buildings.
    "Fuel cells are not just the wave of the future, they are the tsunami of
the future," said Mr. Dolan.  "I'm very excited about the prospects for
helping the fuel cell industry diversify our energy supply while producing
zero or near zero emissions."
    Mr. Dolan resides in Fairfax, Virginia with his wife and three children.
