FIELD:  30 cars.  Fastest 25 cars through time trials (2 laps).  Six
provisional starting positions, including either five or six based on the
final 1999 Slim Jim All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring point standings and
possibly one provisional position for a former champion of the series who
will have also raced in a series points event in1999.

THE RACE:	The B & B Pools 200 is the third race on the 17-race 2000 Slim
Jim All Pro Series, NASCAR Touring schedule.  Thirty cars will take to the
0.500 mile oval for the 200-lap, 100-mile race.

Fastest Avg. Speed:  Mike Cope, Pinellas Park, Fla., Olds., 1 hr., 20 m.,

 1999 RESULTS:  Darlington, S.C.'s Hal Goodson outran Mike Cope by 0.233
seconds to pick up the race win.  Completing the top five were Toby Porter,
Wayne Anderson and Jeff Fultz.  Randy Gentry captured the Bud Pole Award.
There were a total of six cars running on the lead lap when the checkered
flag waved and 25 of 32 starters were running at the end of the race.  The
race was run in one hour, 22 minutes and 10 seconds and Goodson's winning
average speed was 73.022 seconds.  There were just three caution periods
encompassing 20 laps and four lead changes among four drivers.  Polesitter
Gentry, Porter, Cope and Goodson all took turns at the front of the field.


NOTES OF INTEREST
· Easley, S.C.'s Randy Gentry, and Greer, S.C.'s Steven Howard could be
considered two of the favorites as both have cut their racing teeth at
Greenville-Pickens.  They are the only Greenville-area drivers that will be
chasing the Slim Jim All Pro Series championship full time in 2000.  Gentry
and Howard each earned a Bud Pole Award at Greenville-Pickens in 1999.
· Previous Bud Pole winners at Greenville-Pickens include Steve Holzhausen,
Gary Balough, Hal Goodson, Donnie Bishop, Mike Cope, Marty Ward, Shane
Hall, Billy Bigley, Jr., Rick Crawford, Toby Porter, Mardy Lindley, Derrick
Gilchrist, Randy Gentry and Steven Howard.
· Previous race winners at Greenville-Pickens Speedway include Mike Garvey,
Gary Balough, Jason Keller, Donnie Bishop, Jody Ridley, Mike Cope, Shane
Hall, Toby Porter, Hal Goodson, Dick Anderson, Derrick Gilchrist, Lee
Tissot and Billy Bigley, Jr.  Bigley and Tissot currently sit one-two in
the Slim Jim All Pro Series point standings.

STAT OF THE WEEK:  In the history of the Slim Jim All Pro Series no track
has held more series races than Greenville-Pickens Speedway.  The B & B
Pools 200 will be the 19th series race to be held at the 0.500-mile oval.

Directions to Track
To get to track take I-85 to Exit 44, then north on Hwy. 25 to Highway 123
South.  Then south on Highway 123 to Fairgrounds, or three miles north of
official motel on Hwy. 123.
