Environmental Solutions Appoints Chief Operating Officer

TORONTO--April 6, 2000--Aerospace/automotive industry expert Mark Nicole has joined Environmental Solutions Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq OTC/BB: ESWW) as Chief Operating Officer, according to Chief Executive Officer Bengt Odner.
He will oversee final development of two recently unveiled technologies - a new catalytic converter and a highly efficient fuel injected spark plug - and the process of bringing them to market. Both products, which are in the prototype stage, have the potential to dramatically reduce toxic emissions from motor vehicles.
Nicole's initial duties will be to lead the company's dealings with major automotive manufacturers, following through on the joint venture contracts and completing further testing on the products. He also will be responsible for the finalization of the 100 catalytic converter prototypes currently in production by Loomis Products Company.
"Mark Nicole has considerable experience in the development, procurement and marketing of large vehicle projects, working with automotive and aerospace companies worldwide," Odner noted. "His background will be invaluable as Environmental Solutions Worldwide seeks strategic partners for these ventures and prepares to introduce these unique products to the transportation world. He speaks the automotive industry's language.
Prior to joining Environmental Solutions Worldwide, 45-year-old Nicole was managing director of two U.K.-based international marketing consultancies. His client companies included many of the world's premier transportation and aerospace/defense companies, including BAE Systems (formerly British Aerospace), Lockheed Martin, Iveco Ford, Renault U.K., Saab Scania, and Hughes Aircraft. In addition, he provided marketing consultancy to the U.K. Ministry of Defence and Australian government. Over the last ten years, Nicole has become an expert in winning new business on behalf of client companies across industry sectors.
Earlier in his career, Nicole was an officer in the British Army. His assignments ranged from managing R&D programs for the Ministry of Defence, to procuring advanced vehicle systems. Nicole is a graduate of Eton College and Oxford University, England. "Environmental Solutions Worldwide represents a unique opportunity to shepherd development-stage technology through the prototype stage and into production," he said.
