    BELLEVILLE, Mich., April 5 Peter Brown has been named as
the new Vice President and Technical Director at Ricardo, Inc.  This position
is newly created and will add to the company's capability and strategic
approach to be the natural first choice provider of technology and engineering
services to targeted powertrain and vehicle market sectors.

    Brown joins Ricardo, Inc. at their technical center in Belleville,
Michigan.  Ricardo, Inc. was established in 1989 and operates from offices in
Belleville, MI and Burr Ridge, IL as well as a number of satellite offices in
the greater Detroit area servicing individual clients or projects.  Ricardo,
Inc. is a North American subsidiary of Ricardo plc, which has over 80 years of
experience in the design and development of advanced powertrains.
    Brown comes to Ricardo, Inc. from a recent assignment with Orbital Engine
Company.  Prior to that he held technical and management positions in
Engineering and Research with OMC, Teledyne Continental and Fairbanks-Morse.
He brings to Ricardo 30 years of experience in the engine industry with a
background in 2 and 4 stroke spark and compression ignition engine design and
development.  As part of the senior management team, his efforts will be
geared toward managing cooperative engine programs with key OEM clients as
well as increasing R&D efforts and will boost general industry participation.
