Fuci Metals and Ford Enter Into AgreementNORTHBROOK, Ill. and DEARBORN, Mich., April 5 Fuci Metals USA and Ford Motor Company today announced that they have entered into a long-term agreement whereby Fuci is to provide the automaker with foundry alloy materials and supply management. Fuci Metals USA has launched two e-commerce exchange sites to supply metal commodity and related supply-chain management services. The first site, FUCI.com, is a complete commodity management site targeted at raw materials throughout the automotive industry's supply chain. The second site, BaseMetalsExchange.com, is an e-business to business "Market Maker" exchange for nonferrous metals (Aluminum, copper, lead, nickel, tin and zinc). "The multimillion dollar agreement allows Fuci to fulfill Ford's foundry purchases through either FUCI.com or BaseMetalsExchange.com e-business websites," said Fuci Metal's Chief Executive Officer, A. Demetrius Brown. "We believe that our complete commodity management e-business service offerings will provide unparalleled efficiencies and benefits to Ford Motor Company." The first year of the agreement calls for Fuci to manage the supply of all foundry alloy materials to Ford's Windsor Aluminum Plant, Essex Aluminum Plant, and Windsor Casting Plant in Ontario, Canada. Ford's Cleveland Casting Plant and its Cleveland Aluminum Casting Plant also will be supplied by Fuci. "We are very excited about this agreement with Ford and we are ready to meet the challenges that lie ahead," said Brown. "We view this agreement as a strong step in solidifying Fuci's business today and in the future." "We look forward to our relationship with Fuci," noted Robert Wagner, Ford purchasing manager for non-ferrous metals. "This agreement demonstrates our confidence in Fuci's ability and its long-term prospects." Fuci Metals is recognized as a leader in "total commodity management" within the base metals market. Fuci is the founder and initial investor in Commodity Management Exchange, Inc., the parent company that operates FUCI.com and BaseMetalsExchange.com
