DENSO Establishes a Sales Company in Belgium

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 4 DENSO Corporation -- parent
company of Southfield-based DENSO International America, Inc. -- announced
that it established a sales company, DENSO Sales Belgium N.V., in a suburb of
Brussels, Belgium on March 20, 2000.
    The new company will begin its operation this July.
    The sales company has been established to better serve Toyota Motor Europe
Manufacturing S.A. in Belgium, a Toyota Motor Corporation affiliate that
oversees European production.  Also, the new company will promote operations
targeted at Toyota Motor Manufacturing France S.A.S., which is scheduled to
begin production in France in 2001.
    The new company will bring to seven the number of sales companies DENSO
has established in Europe.  Those already in operation are located in the
Netherlands, the U.K., Germany, Italy, France and Sweden.
    DENSO, global supplier of advanced technology, systems and components,
employs more than 72,000 people in 26 countries with sales of $14.5 billion.
    In North America, DENSO employs 13,000 at 21 companies.  North American
consolidated sales totaled $3.6 billion for 1999.

    Capital:                $340,000 (330,000 Euro or about 35 million Yen)

    Ownership:              DENSO INTERNATIONAL EUROPE B.V.:  99%;
                            DENSO EUROPE B.V.:  1%

    Sales:                  $170 million (160 million Euro or about
                              17 billion Yen) (Projection for 2002)

    Employees:              13 (Projection for 2002)
