Daewoo Continues Record Sales Pace

    COMPTON, Calif., April 3 Daewoo Motor America ended first
quarter sales with another record month.  March sales of 6101 units
represented a 14% increase from February.  More significant is the 436%
increase from March 1999 and Daewoo 2000 year to date sales of 16,369 is an
astonishing 505% increase from first quarter 1999.
    March sales by model included 2114 Leganza, 1718 Nubira and 2269 Lanos.

    The Daewoo Motor America retail network continues to expand at a rapid
pace with a total of 377 outlets in 48 states up from 333 in February.
    Aggressive brand awareness advertising begun in first quarter will
continue in April in support of Daewoos goal of 100,000 sales in the 2000
model year.
