DaimlerChrysler Combined March Sales Continue Record Setting Year in the U.S.
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 3 Consolidated DaimlerChrysler
sales in the United States totalled 290,612 for a record-setting March 2000,
versus sales of 278,309 in 1999 -- a gain of four percent. March represents a
record sales month for Chrysler, Plymouth, Jeep, Dodge and Mercedes-Benz.
"This was an excellent month for our automotive brands reflecting the
strength of our product line and strong consumer demand," said James P.
Holden, President of DaimlerChrysler Corporation. "When the market talks, we
listen -- and that ensures that we provide the right products for a robust
market and fuels our optimism for the 2000 sales year."
