Infiniti Announces March Sales Figures; I30 Posts Record Sales

    CARSON, Calif., April 3 Infiniti, the luxury division of
Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) reported total March sales of 7,436 units, an
increase of 17.6 percent over February.  The all-new I30, which went on sale
last fall, had a record month, with sales of 4,344 units, an increase of
54.5 percent versus last year.
    "The ground breaking style and performance of the newly redesigned I30 has
become a solid hit among consumers and, as the March sales figures prove, its
appeal gets stronger every month," said Tom Orbe, vice president, sales,
Infiniti division.
    The Q45, Infiniti's flagship luxury performance sedan, had total sales of
464 units while QX4 had sales of 1,358 units.  The G20 posted sales of
1,270 units for the month of March.
    Nissan North America, Inc. sales for March, including Nissan and Infiniti
Divisions, totaled 69,578 units, a 23.4 percent increase over last year.
