Eaton Corporation's Aeroquip Business Unit Acquires Honeywell Product Lines

    CLEVELAND--April 3, 2000--Eaton Corporation announced that its Aeroquip business unit has acquired the Ocala, Florida-based clamps, flanges, seals and flexible joint business of Honeywell International, Inc., for an undisclosed amount. The Ocala plant employs 100 and serves aerospace industry customers.
    Eaton Aeroquip indicated the Honeywell business will provide significant product synergies with its existing fluid connectors core business, and additional market presence in Europe. Customers include Aerospatiale, Honeywell Aerospace, American Airlines, Boeing, British Airways, Eurocopter, General Electric, Pratt and Whitney, and US Airways.
