The Timken Company's Rail Bearing Service Subsidiary Consolidates Reconditioning Facilities in Knoxville

    CANTON, Ohio, April 3 Rail Bearing Service, a Timken
Company subsidiary, has announced a consolidation of their
Knoxville, Tennessee facilities. The three reconditioning locations and office
have been consolidated into one newly constructed facility.
    The consolidation will improve the plant layout, product flow and
processes used to recondition and remanufacture railroad bearings.  Rail
Bearing Service sells and services bearings and related parts used in rolling
stock and other equipment.

consolidation effort. It will enable us to respond more quickly to changing
customer needs and provide our customers a higher level of service," said
