Michael R. Bonsignore Becomes Chairman Of The Board Of Honeywell

    MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J.--April 3, 2000--Honeywell said today that its Chief Executive Officer Michael R. Bonsignore has assumed the additional title of Chairman of the Board, following former Chairman Lawrence A. Bossidy's scheduled retirement from the company and its Board of Directors on April 1, 2000.
    Bonsignore became CEO of the new Honeywell in December 1999 upon the closing of the merger between Honeywell Inc. and AlliedSignal Inc. He was Honeywell Inc.'s Chairman and CEO prior to the merger.
    Bonsignore is a 1963 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He joined Honeywell Inc. in 1969 and held a variety of operations and marketing leadership positions in the company leading to his appointment in 1993 to Chairman and CEO.
    Bonsignore currently serves as Chairman of the U.S.-China Business Council and as a member of the Trade & Investment Task Force of The Business Roundtable. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Minneapolis-based Medtronic, Inc.
