    AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 31 This week Ford Motor Company
presented Continental with three World Excellence Awards in recognition of its
role in helping Ford achieve its success in 1999.  Continental received the
most in the category that recognizes impact on customer satisfaction by
leading key Ford initiatives.
    Continental earned World Excellence Awards for consumer focused
technology, high mileage improvement and warranty reduction program.  The
warranty reduction efforts resulted in significant cost savings that Ford
shared with Continental.
