Federal-Mogul Offers Fel-Pro Angle Gauges to Help Rebuilders Eliminate Intake Manifold LeaksSOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 31 Handy tools that will help performance engine builders eliminate intake manifold leaks caused by mismatched cylinder head or manifold angles are now available from Fel-Pro(R), the premier engine sealing brand from Federal-Mogul Corporation. Fel-Pro Cylinder Head and Intake Manifold Angle Gauges allow engine builders to quickly and accurately measure the angle between a pair of cylinder heads or the sides of an intake manifold. Fel-Pro performance engineers have determined that the angle difference between the manifold and heads can often reach five degrees. This, in turn, would cause a mismatch on an intake flange -- a situation that cannot be adequately sealed on most high- performance applications. Fel-Pro Angle Gauges are designed to provide a one-degree interference angle, resulting in more gasket compression at the floor of the port than at the roof. This will ensure even gasket compression when the manifold is tightened. Fel-Pro Angle Gauges are available for the following applications: Chevrolet Big Block, Chevrolet Small Block, Chrysler Small Block, Buick V-6, Ford V-8 (except modular), Oldsmobile V-8, Pontiac V-8 and a wide range of other applications with 90-degree intake face.
