Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems Makes Several Personnel Moves

    FLINT, Mich., March 30 Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems has
recently made several personnel moves in its engineering, manufacturing and
finance staffs, according to Guy C. Hachey, president of Delphi Energy &
Chassis.
    Dan G. Renick has been named chief manufacturing engineer for batteries
for Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems.  The appointment is effective
immediately.  Renick reports to Jeffrey M. Overly, director of manufacturing
engineering for Delphi Energy & Chassis.
    L.E. (Gene) Dura succeeds Renick as plant manager of Delphi Energy &
Chassis' Fitzgerald, Ga., operations.  He reports to Ronald W. Bell,
operations manager for batteries for Delphi Energy & Chassis.
    Steven A. Kiefer, chief engineer for Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems'
Asia/Pacific Operations in Tokyo, has been named chief engineer for forward
engine management systems for Delphi Energy & Chassis.  The appointment is
effective April 1.  Kiefer will report to Jose A. Avila, chief engineer for
engine management systems and products for Delphi Energy & Chassis.  Kiefer
replaces Thomas P. Binasio, who was recently appointed product line manager
for sensors and actuators.
    Richard J. Johnson succeeds Kiefer as chief engineer for Delphi Energy &
Chassis' Asia/Pacific operations.  The appointment is effective immediately.
He reports to R. Scott Bailey, director of engineering, and W. Steven Bowers,
director of Asia/Pacific operations for Delphi Energy & Chassis.
    Nicholas P. Hotchkin has been named finance director for Delphi Diesel
Systems.  The appointment is effective immediately.  He replaces Adrian
Beasley-Suffolk, who has chosen to retire.  Hotchkin reports to Dominique
Chauvin, director of Delphi Diesel Systems, and Joseph P. Gumina, director of
finance for Delphi Energy & Chassis. Hotchkin will be located in Paris.  Prior
to this assignment, Hotchkin was director of corporate finance for Delphi
Automotive Systems' Treasury Group in Troy, Mich.
    Steven L. Millon, plant manager for Delphi Energy & Chassis Systems'
Rayong, Thailand, operations, has been named general manager of Delphi Energy
& Chassis' Thailand operations.  Millon reports to Herman H. Chang, director
of Asia/Pacific manufacturing operations for Delphi Energy & Chassis.  Millon
also continues in his role as plant manager of the Rayong operations.
    Renick began his career at General Motors in 1981 as an intern for the
former AC Spark Plug Division in Flint, Mich.  He was named a production
supervisor later in 1981.  He was promoted to senior purchasing expediter in
1985 and was appointed a general supervisor of production in 1987.  Renick
also held assignments as a senior industrial engineer for the former AC
Rochester Division's Flint East and West operations, starting in 1991.  Renick
was named lean manufacturing manager for Delphi Energy & Engine Management
Systems in 1995 before his appointment as plant manager of Fitzgerald
operations in 1998.  He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration
from the University of Michigan-Flint in 1981.
    Dura began his career at General Motors in 1981 as an associate
manufacturing engineer for the former Diesel Equipment Division in Grand
Rapids, Mich.  He held positions in process engineering, manufacturing and
maintenance for the former Rochester Products and AC Rochester divisions until
he was named general supervisor of maintenance and manufacturing in 1994.
Dura was promoted to superintendent of production for Delphi Energy & Engine
Management Systems' Flint East operations in 1996.  He was assigned to the
Delphi Manufacturing Systems lean core team in 1999.  Dura earned a bachelor's
degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University in 1981 and a master's
in business administration from Western Michigan University in 1988.  He is a
registered professional engineer in Michigan and holds three patents.
    Kiefer began his career at General Motors as a four-year college
cooperative student for the former Chevrolet-Pontiac-GM of Canada Group in
1983.  He was appointed an associate engineer for C-P-C in 1986 and was
promoted to project engineer at the C-P-C Engineering Center in Milford in
1989.  Kiefer was named senior project engineer in 1990 and was promoted to
assistant staff engineer for the Delphi Energy & Engine Management Systems
Division in Bascharage, Luxembourg, in 1995.  In 1997, he was named to his
most recent position.  Kiefer earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical
engineering from Michigan State University in 1986 and a master's in business
administration from the University of Michigan in 1992.
    Johnson began his career at General Motors in 1970 as a college-graduate-
in-training for the Chevrolet Division in Warren, Mich. After an assignment as
a development engineer in Milford, Mich., he moved to Chevrolet's Bay City,
Mich., operations as a product engineering liaison for Chevrolet and the
former Rochester Products Division in 1975.  He returned to GM's Milford
Proving Ground in 1978 as a development engineer for engine management
systems, which included a leading role in program applications for the
Corvette.  Johnson was named a special product engineer in 1986 and later a
staff engineer at GM's Engineering Center in Warren, where he helped develop
engine management systems for the Chevrolet engineering race shop.  Johnson
transferred to the former AC Rochester Division in Flint, Mich., in 1990,
where he led the GM-VAZ program that calibrated and sold engine management
systems to the Soviet/Russian car company, Volga Automobile Associated Works.
He was appointed staff engineer for forward engine management systems for
Delphi Energy & Engine Management Systems in Milford in 1994.  Johnson earned
his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of
Nebraska in 1970.
    Hotchkin began his career in 1988 at General Motors Service Parts
Operations International in Detroit.  In 1991 he was awarded a GM fellowship
to attend Harvard Business School and in 1993 he joined GM's New York
Treasurer's Office as a senior financial analyst.  From 1995-1997, Hotchkin
had assignments in Singapore and Beijing, China, as a manager in GM's Asia
Pacific Regional Treasury Center.  Hotchkin returned to GM's New York
Treasurer's Office in 1997 as manager of business development and was promoted
to director of worldwide pension funding and analysis in 1998.  Later that
year he was named to his most recent position. In addition to his master's
degree, Hotchkin holds a bachelor's in economics from Harvard.
    Millon began his career at General Motors in 1984 as a salaried employee-
in-training for the former Delco Moraine Division in Dayton, Ohio, before his
assignment as a production supervisor.  He was promoted to general supervisor
of production in 1987.  Millon transferred to the former Delco Chassis
Division's Saginaw, Mich., operations in 1991 and was named general supervisor
for tool and gauge inspection.  In 1993, Millon was named sales engineer for
Delco Chassis in Kettering, Ohio.  He was promoted to product manager for the
Delphi Chassis Division's Vandalia, Ohio, operations in 1995.  Millon was
named senior administrator within Delphi Chassis' international operations
staff in Kettering, Ohio, in 1996.  In 1998, Millon transferred to Thailand as
plant manager of the Rayong operations.  He earned a bachelor's degree in
industrial engineering from Purdue University in 1984 and a master's in
management science from the University of Dayton in 1991.
