Top General Motors Executive Joins Premier Online Car Buying Company

    SAN MATEO, Calif.--March 30, 2000--Greenlight.com today named top automotive executive, Joel Manby, as its president. Manby, former CEO of Saab Cars USA, brings over 16 years of automotive experience to Greenlight.com, the fastest growing online new car buying Web site. As president, Manby will leverage his knowledge of and relationships with "offline" auto retailers and manufacturers to further solidify Greenlight.com's position as the leading "click and mortar" car buying company.
    Manby joins Greenlight.com from General Motors where he has contributed extensively to the growth of both Saturn and Saab. During the last four years, Manby led Saab through a period of market share expansion and dramatic sales growth. Manby also drew on his years of automotive retail experience and significantly improved Saab dealer relations. Prior to joining Saab, Manby helped build Saturn as the manager of its largest sales region in the mid-1990's and as one of the original managers on the marketing team starting in 1985. Known as an enthusiastic and growth-oriented leader, Manby has extensive automotive retail experience, including running a number of Saturn dealerships in the Midwest. Manby received a BA, summa cum laude, from Albion College and a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
