AMA: All Grand National Riders To Share In Progressive Insurance Bonuses

30 March 2000

PICKERINGTON, Ohio--American Motorcyclist Association(AMA) Pro Racing
announced today the season bonuses for the Progressive Insurance U.S. Flat
Track Championships. Along with the traditional $100,000 championship
bonuses paid to AMA Grand National Riders, Progressive Insurance will pay
riders from an additional bonus fund driven by the number of insurance
quotes given to race fans.
Every time a fan calls 1-800-FLAT-TRACK 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
visits www.amaproracing.com and clicks on the Progressive banner, or stops
by the Progressive tent at a Flat Track race for an insurance quote,
Progressive will contribute $1 to the 1-800-FLAT-TRACK bonus fund. The
1-800-FLAT-TRACK bonuses will be divided among all Progressive Insurance
Grand National Championship riders who earn national points at AMA
Progressive Insurance Grand National Championships races, and will be
distributed at season's end.
"The potential for the 1-800-FLAT-TRACK bonus fund is virtually unlimited,"
said AMA Pro Racing CEO Scott Hollingsworth. "It's up to the fans, riders,
and their families to help this fund grow. All they have to do is take a
few minutes of their time to call 1-800-FLAT-TRACK, visit
www.amaproracing.com and click on the Progressive banner, or stop by the
Progressive tent at a Flat Track race. In the process they'll find that
Progressive offers great rates, and motorcyclist friendly customer service."
To boost attendance and support the sport, Progressive has also committed
to a direct mail campaign to current customers living in areas near
Progressive Insurance U.S. Flat Track Championship races. Progressive is
also supporting the national, prime-time, series broadcasts on ESPN2.
