Timken Steel Bar Prices Continue to ReboundCANTON, Ohio, March 29 Due to continued global market strengthening within the steel industry and rising raw material costs, The Timken Corporation today announced a price increase on steel bar products. Prices on all carbon and alloy bars will increase by $15 per ton effective with new orders received after April 1. "This move is in line with other industry-announced increases and follows our recent tubing price increases," said Robert N. Keeler, director - steel sales - North America, South America and Asia. "The demand for steel products has reached the point where the recovery of prices in spot markets is now in order."
