Federal-Mogul Appoints Tom B. Conaghan, Senior Vice President, Sealing Systems, Visibility, Systems Protection

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 28 Federal-Mogul Chairman and CEO
Dick Snell announced today the appointment of Tom B. Conaghan to senior vice
president, Sealing Systems, Visibility and Systems Protection, effective
immediately.
    "Under Tom's leadership the Systems Protection operation has been one of
our more successful units and we look forward to having Tom apply his
leadership to a larger entity within Federal-Mogul," said Snell.
    Conaghan, 49, was vice president, Systems Protection, since March 1998.
Conaghan has held a number of functional and operational management
assignments in the U.S. and Europe during his 25 years with Systems
Protection.  He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor
of science degree in marketing.
    Conaghan replaces Rick Streicher, 53, who has left the company.
