SDRC's Metaphase Recognized in GartnerGroup's PDM Leadership Quadrant for Second Consecutive Year

    CINCINNATI--March 27, 2000--SDRC , a global supplier of e-business collaboration solutions for the product lifecycle, announced today that for the second consecutive year, GartnerGroup, a leading authority on information technology, has included SDRC's Metaphase(R) in the leaders' quadrant of Gartner's product data management (PDM) Vendor Magic Quadrant. SDRC is the only PDM vendor included in the leaders' quadrant for both 1998 and 1999.
    Gartner defines PDM as the technology companies use to manage the design and development process, allowing knowledge users to share design data and intellectual capital. SDRC includes PDM under a larger umbrella called Product Knowledge Management, or PKM. PDM forms the necessary foundation for PKM and becomes the engine for creating true innovation within the collaborative product lifecycle.
