SDRC Achieves Leadership Status in GartnerGroup's CAPE Quadrant

CINCINNATI--March 27, 2000--SDRC , a global supplier of e-business collaboration solutions for the product lifecycle, announced today that the company has entered the leaders quadrant in GartnerGroup's CAPE (Concurrent Art-to-Product Environment) report. GartnerGroup is a leading authority on information technology.
SDRC continues to evolve and strengthen its e-Design Automation offering. The latest release of its I-DEAS(R) mechanical design automation software features a new set of collaboration solutions that allow customers to effectively leverage the Internet across the entire product lifecycle.
As the GartnerGroup report indicates, the "main differentiating characteristics (among vendors now) center on economics, strength of local support and compatibility with supply chain partners..." Recently, SDRC has greatly strengthened the scalability of I-DEAS, as well as its collaborative capabilities, via I-DEAS Web Access and the new I-DEAS(R) 3dDocCom(TM) communication tools. These enhancements directly benefit original equipment manufacturers and their extended supply chain partners.
"SDRC constantly strives to deliver the best products the market has to offer, and the fact that we have achieved leadership status in GartnerGroup's CAPE quadrant is testament to that fact," said Bill Weyand, chairman, president and chief executive officer, SDRC. "SDRC will continue to evolve traditional mechanical design further into e-Design Automation as a part of our overall corporate strategy to provide our customers with e-business collaborative solutions for the total product lifecycle."
