Thrifty Opens in New Consolidated Rental Car Center at DFW

    TULSA, Okla., March 24 Thrifty Car Rental will open inside
Dallas-Fort Worth International's (DFW) two-story, 129,000 square foot
consolidated rental car facility on Sunday, March 26, 2000.  In addition to
Thrifty Car Rental, the "common" building will house ten other car rental
firms.
    The new facility, among the first of its kind to open in the U.S.,
encompasses 200 acres at the south end of the airport and features a two-story
parking garage.  The 1.5 million square foot garage is capable of holding more
than 5,000 cars.  Buses will be shared among all rental car firms and shuttle
passengers to and from the terminal every five minutes.
    Thrifty customers will find their car parked in an area immediately
adjacent to the rental counter -- making the rental process as swift as
possible while providing first class service.
    The new store in the consolidated car rental facility also launches a new
"look" for Thrifty, featuring an updated color scheme and revised rental
counter design.  New Thrifty locations will also incorporate the design as the
company's expansion continues.  Existing Thrifty Car Rental facilities will be
converted to the new image over the course of the next few years.
    The company's location at 7700 Esters Boulevard, which previously serviced
DFW near the airport, will remain open in order to serve local car rental
customers.  Thrifty Car Rental has five locations in and around the Dallas
Metroplex including Forth Worth, Irving, Plano, the new facility at DFW and a
location serving Dallas/Love Field which also has more than 600 parking
spaces.
