    ST. CATHATINES, Ontario--Mar. 24, 2000--Please be advised that at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Corporation (TSE:TSN.) held on the 23rd day of March, 2000, the Board of Directors declared a special cash dividend of $3.00 per share on the issued and outstanding Common Shares of the Corporation, payable on the 1st day of May, 2000 to holders of record of the Corporation's Common Shares on the 14th day of April, 2000.
