Hertz Opens for Business at World's Largest Consolidated Car Rental Facility At Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

PARK RIDGE, N.J., March 24 On March 26, Hertz ,
the world's largest car rental company, will open for business at the new,
1.2 million square-foot Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
consolidated car rental facility.
"Our new facility at DFW is three times the size of our previous facility
and enables us to operate a larger fleet and better service the increased
customer demand we have been experiencing," commented Paul Torres, Hertz
Division Vice President, for the Southwest U.S.
Hertz' new facility features a 70-foot rental counter that includes 18
counter positions for serving customers who are renting and returning cars.
In addition, Hertz will offer customers full #1 Club Gold weather-protected
service with more than 300 weather-protected stalls and 10 electronic
signboards directing Gold members to their pre-selected vehicle.
"We're very pleased to add DFW to the list of over 40 Hertz airport
locations offering full weather-protected Gold service," said Torres.
Customers will be transported to and from the consolidated car rental
facility by common buses serving all of the companies located in the facility.
The fleet will feature over 40 low-floor buses manufactured by The Gillig
Corporation of California. The buses made of non-corrosive, fully-recyclable
aluminum alloy that result in a lighter, more fuel-efficient vehicle, are
identical to the "Easy Access" buses Hertz has deployed at many of its airport
locations nationwide.
"Since common busing is necessary at the new facility, we're pleased that
DFW has chosen the same Gillig buses that our customers have become accustomed
to," said Torres.
Also, Hertz has reconfigured its NeverLost, on-board navigation system
database to accommodate the address of the new facility. When customers rent
NeverLost-equipped vehicles at DFW, customers will be directed back to the
facility.
The Hertz Corporation operates a fleet of 525,000 vehicles from
approximately 6,500 locations in more than 140 countries worldwide.
