Earl Scheib Appoints Gregory J. Helm to Board of Directors

    BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--March 23, 2000--Earl Scheib Inc. (AMEX:ESH) announced today that Gregory J. Helm has been elected a member of its board of directors.
    Helm has been president and co-founder of Houston Helm and Company Inc. since 1994. Houston Helm and Company is a nationally recognized advertising agency and graphic design firm. With his election, the company's board of directors has filled its remaining vacancy and now consists of seven members.
    Philip W. Colburn, chairman of the board of directors, and Chris Bement, president and chief executive officer, stated, "We are extremely pleased to have Greg Helm join our board. During his three decades in the communications industry, Greg has worked in the marketing department of two major financial institutions, held senior positions in three national advertising agencies, and founded and managed two highly successful agencies.
