Pick-Ups Plus Announces Corporate Strategy for Year 2000
MASON, Ohio--March 23, 2000--Pick-Ups Plus, Inc. (OTCBB:PUPS) announced today its corporate strategy for the year 2000. Pick-Ups Plus' expansion strategy, though aggressive, is a progressive one. In 2000, Pick-Ups Plus intends to add five (5) new franchise stores and one (1) new Company owned store, bringing the total number of stores to seventeen (17) by year end. By initially limiting the number of stores, Pick-Ups Plus will allow itself to be very selective of franchise candidates, and provide highly concentrated training and support, ensuring the success of the new stores and the franchise system.Financial projections for 2000 show retail sales in access of $7,500,000, which includes Company owned and franchised stores. Projections for subsequent years are far more aggressive, as Pick-Ups Plus expands its franchise base dramatically and becomes the McDonald's of the pickup and SUV accessory business.
John Fitzgerald, president of Pick-Ups Plus said "[W]e are intent on establishing a superior position in an industry predominantly comprised of family run operations. With our purchasing power and a hand-picked franchise network, we are destined to become the leader in this explosive industry."
Pick-Ups Plus, Inc., is a retailer and franchiser of stores devoted exclusively to the sale and installation of accessories for pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles.
