Isuzu Website Takes Home Top Honors; The SUV Specialist Beats Out Honda, GM and Ford sites

CERRITOS, Calif., March 22 American Isuzu Motors Inc. is
proud to announce that the company's website has captured the top spot in
Gomez Advisors Spring 2000 Internet Auto Manufacturer Scorecard. Moving up
from fourth place in the previous quarter, Isuzu earned the top honors by
beating the likes of Honda, GM and Ford in the scorecards overall score. A
leading factor in this success was Isuzu's soaring success in the ease of use
and customer confidence categories, and the serious shopper and first-time
buyer customer profiles.
Gomez Advisors, the leading portal provider for B2C (business to customer)
and B2B (business to business) e-commerce, established the Gomez Internet
Scorecards(TM) to assist consumers in making informed decisions about doing
business on the Internet. Gomez Advisor Scorecards assist consumers who want
to do business on the internet by helping them identify firms whose Internet
offerings are best suited to their particular needs. A standard Gomez
methodology applies to all Scorecards. Firms are ranked by how well they
serve each of several customer profiles and by categories, such as customer
confidence and ease of use. Scorecards evaluate distributors based on more
than 150 objective criteria.
"We are extremely proud of our website and will continue to develop and
improve it in order to provide the information and services our customers are
looking for," said Gary Tucker, Vice president, SUV Marketing and Product
Planning. "We feel that the e-commerce business is a vital aspect of our
business and obviously we are also pleased to have the site acknowledged as a
leader in the industry."
