Federal-Mogul Earns Qualified Supplier Status from Case Corporation

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 21 Federal Mogul Corporation's
Grand Haven, Michigan, camshaft manufacturing facility has been
designated a Qualified Supplier by Case Corporation, a major manufacturer of
agricultural and construction equipment based in Racine, Wisconsin.
    Case awards Qualified Supplier status to those suppliers that successfully
meet requirements of a rigorous quality system survey by a Case audit team.
In addition, the supplier must demonstrate the ability to pursue continuous
quality improvement aimed at minimizing total life cycle costs and maximizing
high-quality products and services.
    "Our goal is to be the low-cost provider, while delivering quality
products and excellent customer service," said Michael C. Verwilst, senior
vice president, Powertrain Systems.  "Grand Haven has taken that goal to heart
and we applaud their efforts."
    As a Qualified Supplier, Federal-Mogul has the opportunity to seek
additional business from any of the 20 Case manufacturing plants worldwide.
    "The achievement of an award such as this one speaks volumes to the

satisfaction," said Grand Haven Plant Manager Tim Walker.
    Federal-Mogul Grand Haven supplies camshafts to Case for use in its
agricultural and construction equipment, and was recently presented with a
plaque from Case in recognition of its achievement.  The facility, which
employs a staff of 350, manufactures and assembles camshafts.
