PTC Flexible Engineering Solutions Power Toyota Racing and Modified Street Engines
WALTHAM, Mass.--March 21, 2000--PTC today announced its performance partnership with Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) competitor Toyota Racing Development (TRD) USA. As partners the two will join together to design and develop racing and modified street engines for high-performance Toyota vehicles. The particular focus will be on the engines for the Champ racing cars used in the CART series. TRD will use PTC's i-Series for flexible engineering to work on projects related to engine and race car weight reduction, and optimized packaging."The CART World Championship is recognized as being the most competitive racing series in the world, and it is imperative that competition is fought on all levels.
