J&L Specialty Steel Appoints Automotive Director for North AmericaPITTSBURGH, March 20 J&L Specialty Steel, Inc. announces that Joseph J. Karl III has been appointed to the newly created position of Director -- Automotive Business Segment -- North America. He will be responsible for managing J&L's Automotive Business Segment. To assist Mr. Karl, the company announces that Arthur C. Coleman has joined J&L as Market Development Engineer -- Automotive. Both Messrs. Karl and Coleman will serve the company's automotive customers from the company's Detroit area office. Mr. Karl, 43, joined J&L in 1985 and has steadily progressed through positions of increasing commercial responsibility. Prior to his appointment he was senior territory manager for the Detroit area. Mr. Karl has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Loyola College in Baltimore. Mr. Coleman, 57, joins J&L after more than two decades of automotive experience in engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing and project management. Mr. Coleman has a bachelor's degree in engineering, foundry/metallurgy from The Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in engineering from Wayne State University.
