Bridgestone/Firestone Again Wins Awards At Annual Supplier Conference

Awards Presented At NUMMI's Annual Supplier Conference in San Francisco
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Bridgestone/Firestone (BFS) won two awards at the annual Supplier Conference of the New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) held recently in San Francisco. This marks the second consecutive year that BFS has been recognized by NUMMI for outstanding performance.Bridgestone/Firestone was presented a Superior Award for Quality and Delivery of radial passenger tires manufactured in Lavergne, Tenn., and a Certificate of Achievement for delivery for spare tires shipped from the Ontario, Calif., distribution center. Bridgestone/Firestone was one of 22 direct material suppliers selected from the 240 total suppliers to NUMMI. Last year's awards were presented to BFS for excellence in Cost, Delivery and Quality at the Lavergne plant.
Art Stuart, president of Bridgestone/Firestone Original Equipment Tire Sales Company, accepted the honors on behalf of the Bridgestone/Firestone operations winning the awards.
