Tenneco Automotive Enters Second Year as Grand Prix of Detroit Title Sponsor

    DETROIT, March 16 Tenneco Automotive, one of the world's
largest producers and marketers of ride control and emission control systems,
returns for its second year as the title sponsor for the Grand Prix of
Detroit.
    The Tenneco Automotive Grand Prix of Detroit takes place June 16-18 on
Belle Isle, and is one of 20 races in the Championship Auto Racing Team (CART)
2000 FedEx Championship Series.

    Tenneco Automotive, with six facilities and 2,300 employees in Southeast
Michigan, became an independent company in November 1999, following the
completion of the spin-off of Tenneco's packaging business.  Tenneco
Automotive markets well-known aftermarket brands such as Monroe(R), Walker(R),
Rancho(R) and Dynomax(R), and has a strong original equipment presence with
more than 25 global OE customers.  The company has products on six of the top
