AMCI and Panasonic Team Up Provide Wireless Mobile Solutions

OMAHA, Neb., March 15 AMCI, a wireless data solutions
provider based in Omaha, and Panasonic, a leading worldwide provider of
computer hardware, have come together to provide what appears to be a winning
combination in the wireless data market. AMCI provides a suite of wireless
software products, hardware products and services to clients across the United
States. The relationship with Panasonic provides AMCI a platform, for
delivering their total wireless solutions utilizing the Panasonic "Tough Book"
mobile computer. The "Tough Book" is known for it's ruggedized and hardened
case built to withstand harsh environments such as those in the railroad,
transportation, utility and field services industries.
Perhaps the strongest indicator yet as to the success these two
corporations are enjoying together was a recently completed trade show that
was jointly hosted by AMCI and Panasonic. This marked the first time the
two corporations have publicly worked together to present wireless mobile
solutions that meet the needs of potential clients. The two-day event, held
at AMCI's corporate offices, focused on both the rail industry as well as the
high-tech field services and utilities industries.
According to Sean Slattery, Vice President of Sales for AMCI, "The show
really exceeded our expectations. Wireless data technology is not yet widely
embraced in many industries, so to have a number of high-level decision makers
from the utilities and high-tech services industry spend valuable time with us
indicates that the market is seriously investigating wireless solutions from
AMCI."
