See the Stars & Cars of NASCAR At Ford Racing Fan Appreciation Day, Thursday, March 30
             North Texas Ford Dealers Sponsor Third Annual Event


    DEARBORN, Mich., March 14 NASCAR fans in the Dallas area
will have a unique chance to get up-close with some of the sport's biggest
names when the North Texas Ford Dealers host the Ford Racing Fan Appreciation
Day Thursday, March 30, 2000, at the Arlington Convention Center.
    Admission is free to this event, which precedes the DirecTV 500 at the
Texas Motor Speedway.  Fans and Ford employees may obtain tickets for this
event by visiting one of the 59 North Texas Ford dealers, now through March
30th.
    Ford NASCAR Winston Cup stars will be signing autographs throughout the
event from 5:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.  In addition, there will be a series of
question and answer sessions with the fans on hand.
    Ford NASCAR drivers currently scheduled to sign autographs and answer
questions include Jeff Burton, Stacy Compton, Ricky Rudd, Rusty Wallace and
1999 Winston Cup Champion Dale Jarrett.  As schedules permit other Ford
drivers from both the Winston Cup and Busch Series may be added.
    In addition to the driver appearances, fans will be able to see NASCAR
show cars and purchase Ford and individual team merchandise.  Local radio
stations, 96.3 KSCS, 92.5 KZPS, 97.1 The Eagle and 1310 KTCK will all have
live broadcasts during the event.  Fans in attendance can participate in
interactive racing displays, featuring video games from GameWorks.  There
will be ticket giveaways, pit crew demonstrations, clowns and children's
attractions, production and concept vehicle displays as well as a contingent
from the North Texas Mustang Club.  Team Ford Racing will be on hand to
welcome Fan Club members at the event.

    Previous Ford Fan Appreciation Days have been held in Atlanta, San
Francisco, Miami, Orlando, Indianapolis, Charlotte and Detroit.
