GNB Technologies Earns Excellence Awards From TMMNA

    ATLANTA--March 10, 2000--GNB Technologies earned two supplier awards from Toyota Motor Manufacturing of North America, Inc. (TMMNA) in recognition of the company's on-time delivery and cost control capability in 1999.
    Toyota awarded GNB's Original Equipment Division, headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, with certificates of achievement for Value Improvement Performance and Delivery Performance at TMMNA's Annual Business Meeting on March 2, 2000 in Cincinnati. The awards recognize GNB's capabilities for meeting Toyota's rigorous requirements in the areas of just-in-time delivery and cost control management.
    GNB Technologies supplies original equipment batteries to Toyota's North American assembly plants in Georgetown, KY, Princeton, IN, and Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. The company manufactures batteries for the Toyota Camry, Avalon, Sienna, Solera and Tundra models at its Shreveport, LA, manufacturing facility.

    GNB Technologies manufactures lead-acid batteries for the original equipment and automotive aftermarket. Since 1988, GNB has earned ten Toyota Certificates of Achievement for meeting performance targets in quality, delivery and value improvement.
