Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Team with Dealers to Offer Used Vehicles Online in Oklahoma

    DEARBORN, Mich., March 10 Shoppers in the great state of
Oklahoma can now skim the keyboard instead of driving from dealership to
dealership in search of a quality-certified and warranted pre-owned Ford,
Lincoln or Mercury vehicle.

of Oklahoma are eligible to participate in the program.  At any one time, the
web sites offer approximately 100 Ford and Lincoln and Mercury pre-owned
vehicles.  These certified vehicles have undergone a comprehensive 100-point
quality check, and are covered by a limited warranty that includes roadside
assistance.
    To make shopping easy, competitive non-negotiable prices are posted on the
web site, along with calculators that allow shoppers to compare lease and
purchase payments.  Without ever leaving his or her desk, the shopper can
study features and photographs, select a dealer and place an order.  Within 48
hours, the vehicle will be ready for a test drive at the chosen dealership.
    To make the online shopping experience risk-free, the prospective
purchaser's $300 good-faith deposit is completely refundable after test-
driving the vehicle at the dealership.  Even after the purchase, the company
will give a full refund for up to three days or 300 miles, as long as the
vehicle is returned in the same condition.

    The vehicles typically are less than three years old, and began life as a
fleet, company or Ford Motor Credit Company Red Carpet Lease vehicle.  To
qualify for the web page, vehicles must be no more than three model years old
and have less than 36,000 miles on them.
    All of the vehicles offered on the Ford PreOwned site feature at least 12
months or 12,000 miles of limited warranty coverage, including roadside
assistance.
