Erion Racing$B!G(Bs Kurtis Roberts set a new track record of one minute, 54.147
seconds today on the very last lap of his qualifying session to earn the pole
position for tomorrow$B!G(Bs Pro Honda Oils 600 SuperSport International Challenge
final. Team Honda's Nicky Hayden qualified third, eventually turning a 1:54.731
on the last lap of the session. Honda's Miguel Duhamel was fifth fastest at
1:55.249, despite a pinched nerve in his neck. Erion Racing$B!G(Bs Josh Hayes turned
a 1:55.294, the sixth-fastest time. All in all, Honda placed four bikes in the
top six positions for the race final on Friday.

In Superbike qualifying, Nicky Hayden and Miguel Duhamel easily put their
brand-new RC51s in the top seven for the Daytona 200 on Sunday. Hayden was third
fastest with his lap of 1:49.500 seconds around the 3.56-mile road course (an
average speed of 117.041 mph) while defending and three-time Daytona race
champion Duhamel was seventh fastest at 1:50.774.
