RDO Equipment Announces Executive Level Appointment; Randy Amerine Named Vice President - Product Support and Strategic Development

    FARGO, N.D.--March 9, 2000--RDO Equipment Co. today announced the appointment of Randall C. Amerine to the newly created position of Vice President of Product Support and Strategic Development.
    "Randy will help strengthen our vendor partnerships and provide strategic planning support to our operating managers and our executive leadership team," stated Gary L. Weihs, Chief Operating Officer of the Company. "We expect that Randy will be a key contributor as we strive to become a world leader in providing effective solutions for our customers."
    Amerine joins RDO Equipment from Truck Care, Inc. where he served as Vice President of Marketing for nearly three years. In this capacity, he was responsible for the pursuit and completion of strategic marketing alliances in the on-highway commercial vehicle services business. From 1991 until July 1997, he held various management positions of increasing accountability with Ryder System, Inc., an international provider of logistics and commercial highway transportation vehicle services. These regional positions included General Manager, Operations Manager and Marketing Manager. He also has over 14 years of experience with Caterpillar, Inc. and its distributors and affiliates. Amerine received his BA in marketing and management from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1976.
