Federal-Mogul Employees Raise $13,733 for Big Brothers Big SistersSOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 9 On Saturday, March 4, over 175 Federal-Mogul employees, family members and friends from the Southfield and Plymouth, Michigan, facilities bowled together, raising $13,733 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit. Compared to 1999, Federal-Mogul employees increased their participation by 24 percent and the amount of money raised by 26 percent. Federal-Mogul's corporate partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters has raised over $1,000,000 since it began in 1997. "We are extremely proud of our employee volunteers," said Dick Snell, chairman and chief executive officer, Federal-Mogul, and national board member, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. "Once again they worked as a team to raise a record amount of money for Big Brothers Big Sisters." "We greatly appreciate the support from all Federal-Mogul employees," said Cathy Talifer, director of outreach and development, Big Brothers Big Sisters. "Thank you Federal-Mogul." Bowl for Kids' Sake is the single, largest fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the goal this year, in metro Detroit, is to raise $198,000. The money raised is used to increase the number of mentor matches and to improve the quality of services provided to those matches. Bowl For Kids' Sake continues through March 25, 2000.
