WoO: Lebanon Valley celebrates 20th anniversary World of Outlaws visit in 2000

9 March 2000

WEST LEBANON, NY - Lebanon Valley Speedway will celebrate it's 20th
anniversary of hosting the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, presented
by CARQUEST Auto Parts, on Monday May 29th, 2000. The World of Outlaws first
hit the Lebanon Valley "High Banks" back in 1981. Steve Kinser, "The King of
the Outlaws" won the 1st race and has chalked up a total of six feature wins
since, more than any other Outlaw driver.

Steve's cousin Mark Kinser has had somewhat of a strangle hold on Lebanon
Valley over the past two years capturing the A-Main wins both in 98 and 99.
No Outlaw driver has ever won the A-Main three years in a row. Steve Kinser
(87 & 88 and 91 & 92) and Sammy Swindell (96 & 97) have both put together
back to back yearly victories to tie Mark's accomplishment.

The World of Outlaws has announced a new racing format and will expand
the Channellock Dash for the 2000 season. The new format will include two
10-car dash races, which will be lined up according to the heat race
finishes. The first dash finish will determine the inside row of the A-Main,
while the outside row will line up according to the finish in the second dash
race.

The new format also calls for every car to take two qualifying laps, with
the fastest time being used to align the cars in four heat races. The three
fastest cars will be inverted in each heat race, with the remaining cars
being lined up by their times. The Channellock Dash races will be lined up
according to the finishes of the heat races.

Danny "The Dude" Lasoski after having a great season last year is off to
another great start in 2000. He totally dominated the sprint car races at
East Bay Raceway in Florida during speedweeks and captured the win at the
second Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series race in California, Feb. 26. "The
Dude" and Mark Kinser held a great battle for the overall World of Outlaws
point championship in 99 and things look to be even more competitive in 2000.

In the past the World of Outlaws haulers have parked in the infield at
Lebanon Valley. Plans are in place to park the haulers outside of the infield
area. This will allow the fans to have a great view of the high flying racing
action on the speedway with very few obstructions.
Tickets for the 2000 Edition of the Pennzoil World of Outlaws presented by
CARQUEST Auto Parts at Lebanon Valley Speedway are on sale now. All seats are
reserved and are only $22.00 each. Call the speedway office M - F from 9am to
5pm at (518) 794-9606 or (518) 794-9965. For more information on this event
