Tracks: Lebanon Valley sets dates for warmups and inspections

9 March 2000

WEST LEBANON, NY--The 2000 racing season at Lebanon Valley Speedway is right
around the corner and the air is a buzz with anticipation of the new season.
The speedway will be holding two warm-up sessions prior to the April 15th
season opener.

Saturday April 8th the pits will open at 2PM with the track open for
practice from 4PM to 7PM. The Lebanon Valley technical staff will be on hand
to inspect cars and answer any questions you may have. All classes are
invited to participate in the warm-ups.

The format for the warm-up sessions will be the same as in past years.
The track will open for slow warm-ups for the Pure Stock and Street Stock
classes at 4PM with fast warm-ups to follow as the track is run in. We will
follow a rotation of the different car classes allowing each class a run of
several laps. We will take a short break between each completed set to allow
the track crew to attend to the track. This format will continue until 7PM.

The second warm-up date is on Thursday April 13th. The pits will open at
4PM with the track open for practice from 6PM to 8PM. All classes are invited
to this warm-up session also. This will be the last chance for the Modified,
Street Stock, Rookies and Pure Stocks to get some extended practice laps
before their season starts on April 15th.

The Sportsman and IMCA Modified classes will kick off their season on April
29. There will be a final warm-up date on Thursday April 27th to allow those
last minute teams an opportunity to tweak their cars before their opener.
Pits will open on April 27th at 5:30PM with the track open for practice from
6PM to 8PM. Once again all classes are invited to participate in the warm-up
sessions.

As always spectators will be allowed into the grandstands for free on each of
these warm-up dates. The red novelty trailer will be open and Liz will be
selling season passes and advanced tickets to all the great shows on the
schedule for the 2000 season. Be sure to stop and pick up your tickets for
the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Sprint Cars 20th Anniversary visit to the
Lebanon Valley High Banks. We are proud to once again have the good people
from CARQUEST Auto Parts onboard to present this great event. All seats are
reserved and are just $22 each.
