Porsche Teams With MSC.Software's Internet Division; Automotive Giant on Board as Site Launch Customer for Simulation Tools on Engineering-e.com
LOS ANGELES/Costa Mesa, Calif.--March 8, 2000-- Engineering-e.com, the engineering marketplace and application service provider (ASP) division of MSC.Software , is teaming with Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG to evaluate and test the offering of engineering simulation tools over the Internet. The partnership will provide Porsche with an inside look at the capabilities offered through Engineering-e.com's ASP infrastructure. Porsche will be able to analyze the advantages of using the Engineering-e.com SimulationCenter, while having access to a suite of simulation software tools that will run on the SimulationCenter's computer systems. This will allow them to offload a few large simulation jobs that take an enormous amount of computational capability.
