Speedway Motorsports Attracts Record Crowds at Las Vegas Motor SpeedwayCONCORD, N.C., March 7 Officials of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. today announced record crowds for its CarsDirect.com 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series event weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway March 2-5. The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series ushered in the weekend's events with wild-west track action at the 1/2-mile dirt track. Friday and Saturday's shows hosted sold-out crowds. Mark Martin took the checkered flag in Saturday's Sam's Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division race and his Roush Racing teammate Jeff Burton claimed victory in the rain shortened CarsDirect.com 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race. Highlights of the weekend included record weekend crowds and greatly improved traffic flow.
