Robert DeMajistre Named President of Seton CompanyTROY, Mich., March 7 Robert DeMajistre has been named president and chief operating officer of Seton Company, according to Philip D. Kaltenbacher, Seton's chairman. Seton is the world's leading supplier of automotive leather, with more than 5,000 employees in the U.S., Mexico, Argentina, Germany, Hungary, South Africa and Japan. DeMajistre had served as Seton's executive vice president for the past 14 months. Formerly a research chemist and patent attorney specializing in intellectual property law, DeMajistre, 52, joined Seton in 1984. He has handled domestic and international administrative, manufacturing and marketing assignments for the company and holds patents in coating technology. "Bob has the background, proven track record, breadth and personal qualities to spearhead the company's progress in the years ahead," Kaltenbacher said. "He's delightful to work with, a customer-oriented team builder and a first-rate strategist. We have the utmost confidence in his leadership." A Pittsburgh native, DeMajistre is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne Law School. He and his wife reside in West Chester, PA, and have three children. Based in Norristown, PA, Seton Company is a global manufacturer of automotive leather, chemicals and industrial-coated products. The firm's worldwide sales and marketing offices are based in Troy, MI.
