TROY, Mich., March 6 A summary of news announcements made
by Delphi Automotive Systems in conjunction with the Society of
Automotive Engineers (SAE) 2000 World Congress in Detroit:

    COMMUNIPORT(R) MOBILE MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGIES
Four new Delphi Communiport technologies to reach market in 2001.

Four new Communiport technologies will enter the market during the 2001
model year, including the Infotainment PC, the integrated radio navigation
system, rear-seat audio/video entertainment systems, and satellite digital
audio radio service. Delphi customers of these technologies will announce
program details in the near future.

Delphi to be First to Market with Voice Recognition
                          on a High-Volume Program.

a high-volume production program, to be announced by the customer later this
year. Delphi speech recognition program supports a variety of languages,
including English, German, European French, European Spanish, Japanese, and
other languages. The system eliminates the need to manually operate smart
infotainment systems functions to keep the drivers hands on the steering
wheel. Delphi also was the first supplier to provide voice recognition for
new vehicles, introducing the technology through General Motors Corp.'s OnStar
system in 1997.

$3 Billion in New Booked Business Last Year for ISS-Related Technologies.

Delphi booked $3 billion in new business during 1999 for many of the
50 technologies that comprise Delphi's Integrated Safety System (ISS) concept.
The 50 technologies are a combination of current and near-term products,
including advanced electronics, microcontrollers, sensors and drive-by-wire
technologies. The contracts average five years and represent almost
10 percent of Delphi's total new business booked last year ($33 billion).
