Behr Shows New Climate Control and Engine Cooling Products at SAE 2000 World Congress in DetroitWALLED LAKE, Mich., March 3 A broad range of climate control and engine cooling products, including the latest developments in aluminum radiator design, will be on display at Behr's exhibit at the SAE 2000 World Congress at Detroit's Cobo Center, March 6-9. Recently developed applications for vehicular engine-cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning will be shown. In addition, Behr will exhibit engine cooling fans and clutches, as well as components for engine temperature control and electronic thermal management. Applications for a variety of vehicle manufacturers, including modules and components designed for Audi, BMW, General Motors, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, Saturn, Volvo and Volkswagen, are part of the Behr exhibit. "In partnership with our customers, Behr has become a leader in the development of thermal management systems," Hans Lange, president of Behr America, said. "Electronic controls enable us to take a total systems approach to the management of underhood temperatures and airflow, as well as passenger-compartment heating and air conditioning." The benefit of this new systems approach to thermal management for automakers and their customers will be cleaner, more fuel-efficient cars and trucks with optimal interior climate controls, Lange noted. He added that a brazed aluminum radiator developed in conjunction with long-term field testing will be among a variety of other components at Behr's SAE exhibit. Behr America is part of the Behr Group, a leading global supplier of climate control and engine cooling systems for automotive, commercial and off- highway vehicle markets.
