Dura Automotive Announces Dividend on Trust Preferred Securities
    MINNEAPOLIS, March 2 --
Dura Automotive Systems, Inc. , announced today that a quarterly
dividend of $0.47 per share will be paid on the 71/2% convertible trust
preferred securities issued by the Dura Automotive Capital Trust.  The
dividend will be payable on March 31, 2000, to stockholders of record on March
15, 2000.  The dividend will be paid on 2,210,000 shares outstanding.  The
convertible trust preferred securities are traded on the Nasdaq National
Market under the symbol DRRAP.
    Dura Automotive Systems, Inc., is the world's largest independent designer

door systems, window systems and engineered mechanical components for the
