Daewoo Sales Continue to Rise

    COMPTON, Calif., March 1 -- Daewoo Motor America sales for
February are continuing on the record pace set in January.  February sales
checked in at 5253, 5% ahead of January 2000 and 340% ahead of February 1999.
For the year, Daewoo sales of 10,268 are up over the same period one year ago
by 458%.
    The 25 day sales period in February produced 1941 Leganza sales, 1807
units of Nubira and 1505 sales of Lanos.

    The Daewoo retail network now consists of 333 outlets in 45 states, up
from 301 locations in January.
